Hello everyone,
Many times as you may have noticed dogs although know a
behavior almost perfectly when something chnges in the environment
often dogs get mixed up and cannot deliver the behaviour. For example
if you trained your dog to sit and you ‘ve practiced only in a standing
posture it’s almost certain that if you sit or lie down and ask for
your dog to sit again, he probably won’t. This happens because dogs often
connect a certain behaviour with a certain picture on their minds.
If you want to teach your dog a solid new behaviour try to change as much as you can the image that you are projecting to the dog.
